I absolutely LOVE this book and am enjoying taking my time reading ...

I first discovered this book at my neighborhood library and found it so fascinating that I had to buy my own copy through Amazon. I absolutely LOVE this book and am enjoying taking my time reading every single page. I find nutrition so interesting and this book is very inspiring and makes you want to go out and buy all of these wonderful foods because you know how good they are for you! The other day I bought some fresh, organic okra, peppers and blueberries at my local farmers market and couldn't wait to get home and look them up in the book and find out how good they were going to be for me. I also enjoyed reading the top ten foods of nutrition experts/doctors in the book. Jonny Bowden, thank you for taking the time to publish this great book!

Inspired My Kids to Try New Veggies

I let my kids (ages 7, 9 and 12) look through this book and pick new fruits and veggies to try. They love seeing what nutrients are in each food and looking for the ones they think would be best for them! As an adult I appreciate having this as a reference book and refer to it periodically for inspiration in living and eating healthy. It includes sections on Vegetables, Grains, Beans/Legumes, Fruits, Nuts/Seeds/Nut Butters, Soy, Dairy, Meat/Poultry/Eggs, Fish/Seafood, Beverages, Herbs/Spices/Condiments, Oils and Sweeteners.
One of my favorite parts is that at the end of each section there is an "Expert's Top Ten" list included because everyone always wants to know what those who REALLY know about health and nutrition eat! Clear winners in these lists are blueberries, spinach, kale, nuts, broccoli, and wild salmon. There are also some surprises - coffee made two expert lists! It's really interesting (and informative) to see what the experts eat on a daily basis! Great book!

Read how you can fight disease naturally and eat the healthiest foods on earth! It's my bible for everything I eat, I swear by it. This is the direct root to a healthy diet with zero hype. You can truly believe what is in this book. I love the red starred items, which shows the healtiest of the healthiest foods. No silly diet gimmicks here, just the facts of what is the best for your body. I review this book all the time to continue to learn and add more and more of the healthiest foods to my diet. I have lost 190 pounds with this books help, because if you eat the healtiest foods, your body doesn't crave food / nutrition, it's really that simple. I also love all of the experts top ten foods all throughout the book, this allows you to see other experts opinions as well. I don't know why you need to read anything else???
